JON BRADY EXCITED FOR FINAL EIGHT GAMES OF THE SEASON

The Cobblers boss looks ahead to Saturday's visit from Hartlepool United

Jon Brady previews Saturday’s home fixture with Hartlepool United.

The Cobblers were edged out of a tight game with Bristol Rovers last week, but remain in an automatic promotion place in a very tight Sky Bet League 2 table with eight games to play.

“We’ve bounced back many a time this season and that’s what we will be aiming for again on Saturday,” he said.

“We’ve mostly got it right this season to be where we are and we can’t wait for the weekend.

“Hartlepool are another very strong side, they play a fluid style and we are playing another team who is on a decent run of form.

“Last Saturday was frustrating but the effort was there, we just need to make better decisions on the ball when we are in the moment.

“We know what we can do but sometimes you get caught up in the hustle and bustle of a game and that’s what happened against Bristol Rovers.

“We have to be calm, play our way and make sure we don’t get caught up in the moment. We’ve learnt the lesson from Bristol and we will be stronger for it.

“I thought our press was very good on Saturday, we stopped them playing but unfortunately the game turned into a bit of a fight and no one could quite put their foot on the ball and show a bit of quality.

“It was a scrappy affair, both teams were a bit nervy and edgy and you get games like that. I felt we controlled the game out of possession and looking back we had all the chances but we didn’t put them away.

“Saturday has gone now, we move on and look forward to Hartlepool.”
