Jon Brady says the Cobblers can take heart from the strong home record and the ground they have made up on league leaders Forest Green Rovers as he looks ahead to Saturday’s home game with Bristol Rovers.

“We have been very strong at home and we can take confidence from that but we can’t rely on it, we need to be on the front foot on Saturday and be ready to go which we will,” he said.

“I’m hoping we will fill the stadium like we did against Tranmere and we’d love another great atmosphere like there was here two weeks ago. When the fans roar us on it gives us a real lift and they are a 12th man for us.

“Bristol Rovers are a good side and they have really hit form since the turn of the year.

“We always knew they were a good side and they are going well at the moment but they are coming to our place and we are really looking forward to the challenge.

“The lad Elliot Anderson has come in on-loan from Newcastle and he looks quite a special player. They have a bit more youth in their side and they are on a good run but we’re not on too bad a run ourselves.

“At the start of February we were 14 points behind Forest Green and we are now only six. You can look at things in many ways but we feel the fact we are gaining ground on the league leaders is a positive.”
