NORTHAMPTON TOWN WOMEN MAKE NEW SIGNINGS

New arrivals for the new season

20 June 2022

Northampton Town Women are pleased to announce the signings of Kim Farrow, Gemma Whitchurch and Holly Mayfield ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.

Lou Barry and Josh Oldfield’s side are preparing for their first season in the FA Women’s National League Division One Midlands (Tier 4), and all three players have experience in the FAWNL.

Experienced striker Farrow most recently played for Chesham United (Tier 4), and has previously featured for Milton Keynes Dons (Tier 3), Watford and Leicester City.

Fellow forward Whitchurch signs from MK Dons, whilst 19-year-old goalkeeper Mayfield joins from third tier side Loughborough Lightning.

Cobblers joint-manager Barry believes the trio will bring vital experience to the team.

“We’re delighted to have brought in three players of such quality like Kim, Gemma and Holly so early in our preparations,” he said.

“All three bring National League experience, which has been a big factor in our recruitment.

“Before we even touch on their undoubted quality on the pitch which strengthens our squad massively, they will also come in and be huge characters and leaders.

“We’re looking forward to them joining us on our journey.”

The triple signing brings the Cobblers’ total to four after midfielder Olivia Perrin’s arrival a fortnight ago.
