Academy product and local lad Shaun McWilliams is delighted to have signed a new two year contract to stay at Northampton Town, a club he believes is heading in the right direction.
“It took a little while but I’m delighted to get everything sorted," he said.
“I look at this place as my home, we’ve got a big year ahead of us and we want to put things right.
“The Gaffer is only looking up and I want to be a part of what he wants to achieve with the club.
“We’ve got some new lads coming in and I’m looking forward to getting back at it.
"We’ve got to gel the new lads into the group, pre-season will be over before we know it and then the new season will be here.
“We are heading in the right direction, I’m looking forward to the new season and we will be ready.”
