Chairman Kelvin Thomas offered his praise and congratulations to the Northampton Town Women's team and his pride at the club's successful female football programme.
The Women's first team completed an unbeaten season, winning promotion to the FA Women’s National League Division One Midlands, the fourth tier of Women's football while the development squad won two cup competitions.
"It has been a superb season for our female football programme and it was great to see Northampton Town Women promoted," he said.
"The female football programme is very inclusive and is immersed within the club. It is a huge part of our identity, I am glad the Women get the recognition they do and we are looking forward to developing that programme even further with an under 18 team.
"A huge well done to the players, staff and volunteers, it is a superb achievement."
