Manager Jon Brady is pleased with the players he has added to the squad so far this summer, and he says the club are working hard on further additions.
“There has been a lot of hard work done already to bring in the players we have, it has been pretty non-stop throughout the off-season but it was important for us to find the right fit," he said.
“Having the right fit was really key and we are working on bringing in the next group of players now.
“We want to get the right ones for us and we are not going to rush anything.
“We always do a lot of homework on the players we want to sign but when we make our move, we move strongly.
“I’ve got a responsibility for this football club, we want to keep improving and moving forward and to do that we want to make sure we recruit the best possible players we can.
“It’s really important for us to get the right fit with players and I’m not going to make any moves until I’m certain about them."
While not a new signing, a player Brady was delighted to secure the signature of was midfielder Shaun McWilliams, the academy product extending his stay at Sixfields by penning a new 2 year contract.
“I was really pleased to get Shaun on a new contract," he said.
“His form was excellent last season and I felt he really improved his game in possession.
“Everyone knows what he can do out of possession but in possession he really grew throughout the season.
“Shaun makes such a difference to our side and we are really grateful to have him for another two years."
