Northampton Town manager Jon Brady says next season will be a different challenge for his Northampton Town squad.
Having slipped under the radar for most of the season to finish 4th, Brady says his side now have a reputation that will go before them.
“We understand after this season the expectation is probably going to be a lot higher, we know the fans here always want more and that’s what we will be doing our utmost to deliver," he said.
“It’s never nice losing players and telling them they won't be offered a new contract, we’ve spoken about it but no one from the outside truly realises how close the group this year was.
“It was like a family and to say to some of those players that their journey stops here was extremely tough.
“It’s probably the worst part of the job as a football manager, we’ve had some fantastic characters in the changing room this season and even the players that didn’t play as many games were a huge part of that, but we have to make changes to try and improve and move forward and that is our challenge."
