Ryan Haynes will officially become a Northampton Town player from July 1st, and he has been explaining why he made the decision to move to Sixfields this summer despite strong interest from elsewhere.
"This is a club going in the right direction," he said.
"We want to be challenging at the right end of the table and I want to be part of that and that was a big part of my decision to come here."
Haynes is no stranger to Northampton, as he has been explaining.
"I was born in Northampton, my family live in Daventry and this is home for me so I am really happy to be here.
"There is a strong local feel to the club and connection to the area with the staff, the coaching staff and some of the players. Having grown up here you know the club is a big part of the town and the community.
"It will be a big day for me and my family when I play here for the club and I can't wait."
