Northampton Town Women have been further strengthened with the announcement that Velvet Mortgage & Insure Services have signed up to be the back of shirt sponsor for the next two seasons.
This partnership will see the Northampton Town Women's first team and development team sport the Velvet Mortgage & Insure logo on the front of their shirts for the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons. This partnership follows on from their support last season sponsoring the game at Sixfields International Women’s Day.
The partnership comes at an exciting time for the Northampton Town Women and for Velvet Mortgage & Insure Services as the female football programme continues to expand and grow. Northampton Town Women are now able to offer football to all girls from the ages of 5 upwards, whatever their ability as well as having the choice between competitive football or just for fun.
Joanna and her team from Velvet Mortgage & Insure are thrilled to be supporting the women’s team and will be cheering them on from the sidelines during the next season.
She said:
“I wanted to support Northampton Town Football Club because I grew up in Northampton. I wanted to support a cause that aligned with my own. I love football, so I had the bright idea to combine all into one and here we are… women raising the brilliant game in a male dominated arena just like we are at Velvet Mortgage and Insure within our industry.
“I am passionate about breaking any biases women face whether that be within my arena or a football and I choose to speak out and speak up and use my voice and influence for good. I’m just being me. Individuals need to feel they can be themselves and be able to be themselves - not the image they think they need to be or are encouraged/forced to be!
“I am so excited to be supporting the Northampton Town FC Women’s Team and can’t wait to continue to celebrate the team’s success.”
