FIRST TEAM SQUAD SET FOR SCOTLAND TRAINING CAMP

Players to spend a week north of the border

3 July 2022

The Northampton Town squad are heading to Scotland on Monday for a week of pre-season training.

The squad will be based at the University of St Andrews.

The University, famous for offering some of the best sports facilities in Scotland, has six football pitches along with a strength and conditioning suite and gym and fitness suites and video analysis and meeting rooms.

Cobblers boss Jon Brady knows the importance of the trip.

"We want to use the time for the group to bond and bring everyone together,” he said.

“That’s very important.

"It’s not just football. It’s about things in general both on and off the pitch because you find more out about your players which we feel is really important. That was good value for us last year and we hope it will be the same this time."

We will bring you full coverage of the training camp throughout the week with the squad set to play two games, at St Mirren on Tuesday and also at the training ground on Friday. Any supporter looking to attend on Friday should please contact the club in advance to gain admission.
