A report on Sunday's action

2 January 2022

Northampton Town Women started 2022 with a 4-2 win away at Outibridge on Sunday.

The win came from a remarkable turnaround as the Cobblers found themselves trailing 2-0 at half time, goals in the 25th and 34th minutes putting the hosts in charge.

However, Northampton Town hit back to dominate the second half.

Just three minutes after the interval, substitute Beth Artemiou played a through ball to Charlie Cooper who halved the deficit.

Another substitute to make an impact was Alex Dicks, who scored in the 66th minute to level the scores, only 30 seconds after being introduced to the action.

Four minutes later, Bianca Luttman put the Cobblers ahead for the first time, cutting inside and smashing home a 30 yard drive for a superb goal.

Alex Dicks put the icing on the cake with eight minutes to play, rounding the keeper to score and ensure that top of the table Northampton Town started 2022 with a win.
