Northampton Town have signed Blackburn Rovers defender Tyler Magloire on loan for the rest of the season.
The 23 year old has made seven first team appearances at Ewood Park, four of them in the Championship this season, with a further five appearances coming from a loan at Rochdale in 2019/20 with ten appearances in a temporary stay at Hartlepool United last season. He has also spent time north of the border with Motherwell, playing twelve times for the SPL club in 2020/21.
"Tyler is a centre back who has a decent range of experience under his belt and is someone we have been tracking closely for some time," said manager Jon Brady.
"He has played in the Championship, SPL, National League and League 1 over the last few seasons and we think he can come in and help the squad.
"He will give us the option of changing systems if we want to, he will provide competition to the other centre backs, he will add depth to the squad and he has the attributes we are looking for.
"He has plenty of pace, he is very mobile for a centre back and we are looking forward to welcoming Tyler to the club.
"He has had some other interest in him, including a club in League 1 who were very keen to sign him so we are pleased he is coming to Northampton Town.
"We are also looking to add to the squad in attacking areas and we remain in talks with some of our targets to do that."
Thank you to GC Stonework Ltd for sponsoring Tyler this season.
