The Cobblers boss reflects on Saturday's game

29 January 2022

Jon Brady was pleased with the performance of his team as he reflected on Saturday’s 1-0 home win over Salford City.

“It’s nice to get back to winning ways,” he said.

“I feel it’s three and a half good performances in a row and we played some really strong football in the first half.

“The second half was tough against the wind but we dug in and it’s a really good win.

“We managed the game well and we closed the game out.

“We really limited Salford who are a really good side, it was a strong performance from us and it was good to get the new boys on at the end.

“Idris Kanu will get better, it was tough for him today but we needed to get him the minutes on the pitch. Josh looked sharp when he came on and Tyler looked strong and really helped us.

“I’m hoping there will still be some further additions to the squad before Monday night and there is a lot of hard work going in to try and help us have a strong second half of the season.

“We are working hard to get the right blend and the right individuals who can freshen us up but I can’t stress enough how much the group we’ve already got have given us.”
