FRUSTRATION FOR JON BRADY AS CRAWLEY'S GOAL SURVIVES INTACT

The views of the Cobblers boss

Jon Brady felt a sense of frustration as he reflected on Saturday’s single goal defeat to Crawley.

“It didn’t quite happen for us today,” he said

“From 60 minutes onwards we created some good chances but we didn’t quite have that composure to finish.

“They had one chance all match and it was a bit of a smash and grab from them but we weren’t purposeful enough in our play in the first half. We didn’t take responsibility and that wasn’t good enough.

“We looked a lot better in the second half but in the first half there looked to be a bit of a hangover from last week and it wasn’t the tempo we like to play at. It was a lot more like us in the second half but it felt however long the game went on for it just wasn’t going to go in for us today.

“We had enough chances to probably win the game, Chanka had some excellent movement and I’m really looking forward to seeing how he comes on following a full week in training.

“We are working hard to add to the squad but we will just have to wait and see. We are working on things but we are having to be patient as a lot of clubs are."
