NICKE KABAMBA MAKES LOAN MOVE

Striker makes Woking switch

21 January 2022

Northampton Town striker Nicke Kabamba has joined National League side Woking on loan for the rest of the season.

Kabamba has found his chances limited at Sixfields so far this season, starting only one league game since October 2nd. In all competitions he has started nine games and made eighteen substitute appearances for the Cobblers, scoring against Brighton & Hove Albion under 21s in the Papa John's Trophy.

"We feel this move is in everyone's interests," said manager Jon Brady.

"Nicke will have the chance to get some regular game time, which we haven't been able to offer him over the last few months and we hope he will do well for Woking.

"From our point of view, we are looking to strengthen at the top of the pitch in attacking areas. We are working hard on our targets and that work is ongoing. We won't enter in to deals for the sake of things, deals have to be right for the club and the player but we are confident of adding to the squad further during this transfer window.

"In the meantime Nicke goes with our best wishes. As with all of our players out on loan, we will monitor his progress and wish him every success with his loan club."
