JON BRADY PROUD OF WAY COBBLERS BATTLED BACK AGAINST FOREST GREEN

The views of the Cobblers boss

Jon Brady has praised the way his side refused to give up and battled back to score a late equaliser against Forest Green Rovers last Saturday.

The Cobblers felt agrieved to have fallen behind to a goal that replays proved did not cross the line, but Brady said the way his side responded was excellent.

“I was really pleased with the manner in which we came back against Forest Green," he said.

"That showed spirit, commitment, togetherness and determination.

“To have what we had against us and a goal awarded that wasn’t a goal and to still come back showed a real never give in attitude.

“It could and should be a key moment for us, the officials have apologised to me for what happened. We all make mistakes and we appreciate the apology but I want to focus on us and turning what happened in to a positive.

“We have to look forward and the way we played and the tempo and energy to our game was good, we had been a bit rusty but on Saturday it felt like we were back to our normal selves.

“We had our sharpness back and our performance and energy levels were much better.”
