Jon Brady has been speaking about the club’s work to add to the squad in January.
Striker Chanka Zimba has already joined on loan from Cardiff City and the Cobblers boss and his staff are continuing to work hard to add further recruits.
“There are a lot of things bubbling away in the background and we are working very hard to try and improve and enhance the squad,” he said.
“There is nothing concrete at the minute but we are working on a few things. It will take time but we are working hard to find a way to get the best players we can to enhance the group.
“We want to make sure we work efficiently and if we do bring a player in we want to make sure that it is the right player.
“We are not going to rush into anything and any player we bring in has to be the right fit for us. We won't rush in to deals for the sake of it.
“Ideally, I feel we need someone who can unlock things and a player who is quite clinical and can put the ball in the back of the net.
“We’ve got good leaders within the group already but I also feel another leader would also really help to enhance us through the second half of the season.”
