Jon Brady reflected on Tuesday night’s draw at Scunthorpe.

“It was a bit of a battle tonight but when we made the subs I felt we opened them up,” he said.

“Josh and Benny gave us a bit of freshness and they made a big difference.

“Scunthorpe are fighting for their lives and fair play to them they gave everything for their manager but I felt we did a lot better in the second half and the subs made a big difference for us.

“We were in the ascendancy towards the end but we couldn’t quite get the goal.

“We’ve moved up to second tonight and that’s seven clean sheets in our last eight games which is a terrific record.

“We were missing a lot of players through injury tonight but Shaun McWilliams is one who will be back on Saturday. It was tough tonight but at the end of it it’s another point on the board.”
