JON BRADY HAPPY TO REWARD TRAVELLING FANS AS COBBLERS WIN AT WALSALL

The views of the Cobblers boss

Northampton Town manager Jon Brady was a happy man as he reflected on Saturday’s 1-0 away win at Walsall.

“We had a disappointing result against Barrow but to come out of the week with six points from nine is a positive and we will take that,” he said.

“It was good instinct from Louis Appere for the goal and it was a positive start from him today.

“Walsall are not in a good run of form but they are really fighting for their manager and they gave everything for Matt Taylor today. They are fighting tooth and nail and they didn’t give us anything.

“We stood up to that in really difficult conditions, they threw everything at us at the end but we put our bodies on the line and I’m really proud of the players.

“The supporters played a massive part, they really lifted us especially from 60 minutes onwards, we are all together and we are so appreciative of their support. I’m pleased we could get the three points for them to send them home happy."
