JON BRADY CONSIDERING MIDFIELD OPTIONS FOR SATURDAY

Shaun McWilliams is set to miss the next two games after picking up his tenth booking of the season.

The absence of McWilliams will give other players an opportunity and manager Jon Brady is currently looking at his options.

“We are still waiting to see if Jack Sowerby will be available for Saturday but with Shaun being out it may be an opportunity for one of the younger players,” said Brady.

“We are unsure if Jack will make it this weekend but we will leave any decision until as late as possible.

“We are flexible and adaptable in our thoughts and we’ve had a couple of practice matches in the last few weeks to get some players up to speed.

“Peter Abimbola has been doing very well at Corby and he is certainly one for the future but I’ve got no problems if I have to play either Peter or Scott Pollock on Saturday. I am more about putting round pegs in round holes rather than shuffling players round to accommodate."

As well as Jack Sowerby, Brady is also still waiting on the fitness of Aaron McGowan (hamstring) and Josh Eppiah (calf) ahead of Saturday’s game with Colchester at Sixfields, kick-off 2pm.

“We are working to get them back as quickly as possible but it’s a fight against time,” he said.

“We have to get the balance right, we want them both back as soon as possible but we are very mindful of the amount of games we still have to play.”
