The views of the Cobblers boss

17 February 2022

Jon Brady says he is expecting another tough game as he looks ahead to Saturday’s home fixture with Colchester United, kick-off 2pm.

“Every game is a tough challenge in this league,” he said.

“Colchester have picked up some good results in the last six games , they made some good signings in January and they seem to be rejuvenated.

“You can’t underestimate any team in this league but we know what our focus is and that’s to try and win the game.

“We know what we have to do to try and achieve that and that’s our focus.

“It’s a tight league where any team can beat any other on their day and sometimes it’s about finding that little bit extra to get the win.

“We know within the group that we need to do more offensively and we can still improve overall as well.

“We want to do better in offensive areas and a lot of time it comes down to decision making.

“Our quality needs to be better as well but we will keep working at it and I’m sure it will come.

“It would be nice to win a game by a few goals but it’s a tight league where the teams are evenly matched.

“We can improve and get better but we’ve been good at finding a way to win games and that has been very important for us.”
