JON BRADY - 'WE HAVE HAD SOME GREAT MOMENTS SO FAR THIS SEASON AND WE NEED TO BOUNCE BACK FROM TUESDAY'

Jon Brady is looking forward to Saturday’s trip to Walsall where Northampton Town will once again be backed by a big away following.

“We are looking forward to having a huge away support on Saturday and we can’t wait,” he said.

“I’ve seen a lot of footage of Walsall and in their last four or five games they have probably been the best team in each game, they have played some really attacking football and have just not been able to put the ball in the back of the net.

“Matt Taylor has got them playing well but we have got to make sure we are back at our best and if we are we believe we can get the three points.

“We know what we can do when we are at our best and that is what we have to focus on."

While Tuesday was frustrating, Brady says his side are still very well placed and set for an exciting second half of the season.

“In a 46 game season you are going to have peaks and troughs and that was certainly a trough for us on Tuesday night but overall when you look at it we’ve given the fans some great moments so far this season and we are still in a good position. In fact, I would say some of the football we played in the first half last Saturday was as good as we have played for a long time.

“Our execution and quality in the final third needs to be better but we’ve reflected on that and we are determined to get it right.

“We want to improve the way we score all types of goals and we work consistently on how we can best exploit the opposition.

“We know what we are about in the group and what we are trying to do to be the best we can be.

“We’ve learned the lessons from Barrow, we have to make sure that it was just a bit of a blip and we are back at it on Saturday.”
