Jon Brady is looking forward to the Boxing Day game at Mansfield Town, and coming up against Nigel Clough once again, a manager who Brady says he has the highest respect for.
“We had two really strong play-off games against Mansfield last season and we are really looking forward to the challenge again," he said.
"Both teams will want to go toe-to-toe and I’m sure there will be no holding back from either side.
“I’m sure from a fans perspective it is going to be very exciting. We will be going there to try and win and I’m really looking forward to it.
“I felt we looked really sharp and strong on Tuesday night, the players have had to work really hard through this period and they have had to adapt and be flexible to where we have had to train.
“The ground was frozen solid for ten days and that made it difficult for us to train consistently so to get the three points on Tuesday night was hugely pleasing. To get the performance we did on top of that was also pleasing but there is still much more to come from us.
“The win on Tuesday has given us a bit of a gap and I’m just really pleased with the whole group but there is a lot of hard work ahead.”
