Jack Connor was named in the starting line up and Miguel Ngwa came off the bench for AFC Rushden and Diamonds on Saturday.
The Northampton Town duo both featured as their loan side drew 1-1 at home to Ilkeston Town in the Pitching In Southern League Premier Central.
Forward Connor was heavily involved in the first half, almost beating the goalkeeper to a poor defensive throw-in, nearly turning home a curled cross and shooting over from another ball into the box.
He was replaced just before the hour, whilst midfielder Ngwa came on for the final 14 minutes.
