JON BRADY ON THE CRAWLEY TOWN THREAT

The Cobblers boss looks ahead to Tuesday night's game

Northampton Town manager Jon Brady is full of respect for hosts Crawley Town as the Cobblers make the trip round the M25 on Tuesday night.

“Crawley are a good side that plays good football," he said.

“They are knitting together and they have been in every game that they have played so far.

“It’s early days for teams but my focus is on our team and we are ready and raring to go for Tuesday night.

“I’m confident with the squad we’ve got and we know if we need to make changes in a game we have got players who can come on and make a difference.

“We knew strength in depth would be important, that’s what we have tried to work towards this season and its really coming to the fore for us at the moment."

Brady finished by providing an injury update on Akin Odimayo (hamstring) and Sam Sherring, who missed Saturday’s win over Hartlepool after picking up a knock in the game at Grimsby.

“Sam will be touch and go for Tuesday night and it will probably be a late decision on him.

"Akin is progressing well and he is probably about another week away but the lads who have come in have done very well.”
