Northampton Town manager Jon Brady is full of praise for Sam Hoskins who is set to make his 300th appearance for the club on Tuesday night.
Hoskins will become only the 15th player to reach the milestone and Brady was quick to pay tribute to this season's top scorer.
“It’s a really big achievement for Sam and its testament to the consistency that he has and the levels he performs at game in game out," he said.
“He’s only the 15th player to achieve that for this football club and when he scores next he will be in the top 20 goalscorers for the club as well.
“The accolades keep coming but he is still keen to play every minute and long may that continue.
“I still feel he is improving and we are just so pleased to have him in our team.”
Brady is pleased with the start to the season the Cobblers have made, but says there is still room for improvement.
"It’s really important to get points on the board early but we know we can still improve,” he said.
“Tuesday night is only our fourth league game and we feel we will still be improving as a group ten-fifteen games in.
“It’s been a positive start, players who have had their opportunity have taken it and our subs are really making a difference.
“We have been really pleased with Lee Burge, we knew the qualities he had when we signed him and he is delivering those, making some important saves."
