Jon Brady had mixed feelings as he reflected on the Cobblers 1-1 draw at Grimsby.
“It was a tough battle,” he said.
“We weren’t at our best today but we found a way to get a point.
“We needed to use the ball better when we had it but even not at our best we got a point.
“It was a shame we couldn’t hold on at the end but four points from two games is a good start.
“Kieron Bowie did really well when he came on for the second half and that was another real positive for us. He had a big impact on the game and it was a great set up for Sam Hoskins goal.
“To find a way to get a point today was good but our decision making will improve and get better. This league will be really tough and there are no easy games at this level.
“We are still working hard to add to the group and we know we do need to add to our offensive line. It’s hard but we will keep going.”
