The Lord Lieutenant of Northamptonshire visited Sixfields on Friday to discover more about the club's community work.
The visit came about after the Northampton Town Community Trust was awarded the Rose of Northamptonshire award for work carried out supporting the community during the Covid-19 pandemic.
