Jon Brady was a happy man as he reflected on Saturday’s 2-0 home win over Scunthorpe United, Sam Hoskins sealing the win in stoppage time after setting up the opening goal for Danny Rose earlier in the second half.
“It was a good afternoon’s work and I’m really pleased, ten points from five games is a strong start,” he said.
“We said to the players at half-time that there were a few things we could do tactically better and the tempo in the second half was definitely much better as well.
“Scunthorpe are a resilient team and we knew it would be a challenge for us today but it was up to us to break them down.
“We are very resilient at the back but we've just got to be careful that when we do attack we lock it off at the other end. It was great we got the second goal to really kill it off today.
“We are in good spirits and the win today was a real tribute to Joseph Mills. I think he will go for surgery on his ankle next week and we will know more then.”
