JON BRADY READY FOR SECOND TRIP TO FOREST GREEN IN TWELVE DAYS

The thoughts of the Cobblers boss ahead of Saturday's game in Nailsworth

9 September 2021

Cobblers boss Jon Brady has been looking ahead to Saturday’s trip to Forest Green Rovers as he takes his Northampton Town side to the Fully Charged New Lawn for the second time in twelve days.

The two sides met last week in the Papa John’s Trophy with the Cobblers winning on penalties after the game ended 1-1.

“Forest Green played quite a strong side in that game and so did we even though we made a number of changes,” said the Town boss.

“I feel it’s good we had that game, both sides know each other a little bit and will feel there are things they can exploit and really it’s down to who implements that better on the day.

“On any given day anyone in this league can be beaten and anyone can beat anyone. We respect Forest Green and their goal threat but we won’t be sitting back to try and nick a win.

“We will be playing our way to try and win the game.”
