FOOTBALL & EDUCATION PROGRAMME STUDENTS MAKE VISIT TO ST GEORGE'S PARK

Youngsters made trip as part of coaching unit for BTEC qualification

9 September 2021

On Monday and Tuesday, a group of 25 Northampton Town FC FEP scholars had the opportunity to visit the home of England, St. George's Park, as a part of their coaching unit for their BTEC qualification.

During these two days, all the students took part in the training sessions delivered by the FA tutors as a part of the UEFA A License courses to football coaches. The FEP scholars enjoyed a great opportunity to play some football at this amazing facility and be coached by some of the FA coaches.

Fran Constancio, NTFC FEP Lead coach, offered his thoughts on the trip:
"For the players this was an incredible opportunity to showcase themselves in front of coaches from all over the country," he said.

"The experience they have gained has a great value for them, they have been around sessions delivered by FA coaches/tutors, so for our players to hear similar messages coming from other coaches, who some of them work in professional academies, is really good for their development."

"A huge well done is due to coach and tutor of the NTFC Football and Education Programme Tom Ash for arranging such a great experience for our students."
