JON BRADY PLEASED AS COBBLERS WIN FOURTH GAME IN A ROW

The views of the Cobblers boss

Paul Lewis scored a hat-trick as the Cobblers saw off Carlisle United 3-0 at Sixfields on Saturday afternoon.

It was a fourth successive victory for Jon Brady’s side who felt it was a case of 'job done' against the Cumbrians.

“It’s good to get another three points on the board, it wasn’t brilliant today but it was job done,” he said.

“To get four wins on the bounce is really pleasing and it’s been a great reaction from us since the game at Hartlepool. We’ve really learnt the lessons from that game.

“Paul Lewis does so much work for us, he’s really valuable for us and I’m so pleased for him today to get his hat-trick.

“We’ve had a few body blows this week and we were a bit stretched with Sam’s suspension and Dylan testing positive for Covid.

“Aaron had to come off in the first half and I hold my hands up to that. He’s been really pushing himself in the last few weeks and probably today was a step too far.

“We will come up against better opposition and that is no disrespect to Carlisle and what we have to do is make sure we are always strong and resilient.”
