Jon Brady was honest in his assessment of Northampton Town's home defeat to Sutton United.
“It was hugely disappointing today,” he said.
“Sutton were excellent in what they did, they were hugely efficient and we weren’t good enough today.
“We didn’t offer too much fight, they were first to everything and that’s the first time this season we have delivered a performance like that
“We prepared right and there were no surprises in the way they played and you have to give them full credit. They don’t give you a moment and they are really brave in what they do.
“I’ve got to let the dust settle on this and I won’t make any knee jerk selection decisions, most of the players have been pretty consistent in their performances but today was hugely disappointing and we need a response.
“I felt Sutton were stronger in winning the first and second ball today, they wanted it more and they were more aggressive. No team has done that to us this season, it hurts me and I’m sure it will hurt the players. We were outfought in every position and that is something I can’t and won’t accept.
“We are all in it together and I know the players won’t accept that level of performance.”
