The views of the Cobblers boss as Northampton Town head to Tranmere on Saturday

21 October 2021

Jon Brady knows the Cobblers face a tough test as they prepare for Saturday’s trip to Tranmere Rovers, but he says the squad are prepared and in good spirits.

“We are really looking forward to the challenge on Saturday,” he said.

“It should be a good game, Tranmere are very strong defensively, they’ve won five out of six at home and only conceded two goals but Harrogate broke their defence twice on Tuesday night and our challenge on Saturday will be to try and break their defence.

“We’ve played some very strong opposition away from home but our form is quite good, we have no fear in what we do and the way we want to take on Tranmere.

“We’ve had a good couple of results and it’s been a decent turnaround from a couple of weeks ago.

“We find ourselves in a better position and that’s down to our performances. There are a lot of positives, it’s a tough league, everyone is very even and as we’ve spoken about you need that consistency.

“We’ve had that in our last three performances, there is a lot of work going into the games for us to play at that intensity but if we keep that up we will keep picking up results.”
