Jon Brady says Tuesday night’s Papa John’s Trophy tie with Walsall at Sixfields will provide an important opportunity for a number of players but whoever plays, he has stressed the importance of getting back on track.
“The game against Walsall is a really good opportunity for us to give some players game time to build on their match fitness,” he said.
“Jon Guthrie was a big miss for us on Saturday, he is a key player for us and we are a bit thin on our back line at the moment. We had to shuffle things around quite a lot and the players on the periphery weren’t quite match fit.
“We will go quite strong on Tuesday night to try and build that momentum back up at home, I’m not going to underestimate Walsall and I suspect they will field quite a strong side as well but this is our home and I want us to show what we can do and get back on track."
