The Northampton Town Football & Education programme NFYL South Championship team recorded a 10-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Friday afternoon.
The Cobblers goals came from Alex Dicks (4), Charlie Cooper (2), Daisy Brown, Chloe Martin, Mollie McCabe and Jas Sawyer in a dominant performance.
Daisy Brown opened the scoring five minutes in, scoring after good link up play between Charlie Cooper and Alex Dicks. Dicks herself made it 2-0 ten minutes later, Jas Sawyer played a ball through to Dicks who ran through and finished.
Spurs pulled a goal back immediately, and the Cobblers held a narrow 2-1 lead at the break, but took the game away from their visitors in a superb second half.
Dicks was played in behind and squared for Charlie Cooper to make it 3-1, before Dicks added another on the hour, confidently finishing a cross from Beth Artemiou.
Ten minutes later, a Dicks shot was parried to Mollie McCabe who hooked the ball home over her head and in to the corner of the net.
Chloe Martin made it 6-1 on 73 minutes, before Dicks completed her hat-trick on 76 minutes to make it 7-1.
Dicks wasn't finished there and made it 8-1 after collecting a long throw from Remi Martin before Jas Sawyer finished after being set up by Cooper to make it 9-1 on 85.
Cooper herself then made it double figures with the last kick of the game to round off a dominant display from the Cobblers.
