At Saturday's game with Mansfield Town, the Claret Mountaineers and runner David Ball presented cheques to the Northampton Town Community Trust.
The Claret Mountaineers team is comprised of current and former participants of the Community Trust's programmes who have benefitted greatly from the Health & Wellbeing and Disability Football projects that they run. Back in August, they undertook a sponsored climb of Mount Snowdon to raise money for the Community Trust to say thank you for the way the Community Trust's work has helped change their lives for the better.
Meanwhile, David ran the London Marathon recently, again to raise money for the Northampton Town Community Trust to say thank you for their work in the Northamptonshire community. David said, "I chose Northampton Town FC Community Trust as I am astounded by the many different projects that they are involved with across the county. A football club can really make the difference to so many lives not just the results they get on the pitch (but that also helps!)”
