TAKE PART IN THE SANTA FUN RUN AND SUPPORT THE NORTHAMPTON TOWN COMMUNITY TRUST

Important fundraising event this Christmas

10 November 2021

The Northampton Rotary Clubs had a very successful Virtual Santa Fun Run in 2020 raising valuable funds (£9,000) for charities in a safe way during the pandemic. Charities have been hard hit during the lockdowns but have continued to support those in need of their help and services.

In December 2021 the four Northampton Rotary Clubs, together with Northampton Town Rotaract Club, are organising both a Virtual Santa Fun Run and a super ‘Mass Run’ on Northampton Racecourse. These are ‘not for profit events’ which means it is run entirely by unpaid volunteers and all net monies raised will be donated to local charities.

You choose which charity you will be raising funds for, and your sponsors can support you through our Santa Run 2021 Total Giving pages. One of the chosen charities is the Northampton Town Community Trust.

Please see here: https://www.totalgiving.co.uk/appeal/SR2021NorthamptonTownFC

The 2021 Northampton Santa Run will be held over 9 days from Saturday 4th December — Sunday 12th December. You can run wherever you are and whenever you want and if you would like to, join lots of other Santas on the Racecourse on December 12th you are welcome.

We will endeavour to make our event as safe as possible with spaced out warm ups and starting times. There will be an accumulator running throughout the week so once you have signed up you can track the progress through the dedicated STRAVA group.

Registration and payment can be completed online. The cost is £12 per adult with a suit and medal, and £7 for children with a suit and medal. We are also offering a Family Concession of £32 for 2 adults and 2 children with suits and medals.

Santa Suits and medals can be posted/delivered to your address or collected from selected supermarket carparks from 22nd to the 26th November.

Entry fees cover the cost of running the event and you are encouraged to raise as much sponsorship as possible for local charities by creating a TotalGiving page.

To add to your enjoyment of the challenge, why not raise personal sponsorship from families, friends and colleagues to support your chosen charities. Our chosen charities are not Government-sponsored and rely heavily on private donations to enable them to provide great support to people who need their services.

100% of sponsorship monies raised will go to the nominated charities. This is really important for the nominated charities so please raise sponsorship and donate to the good causes.

As one of the local charities chosen, members of the Northampton Town Community Trust will be participating in this year's Santa run as WILL the club’s mascot Clarence The Dragon
