The views of the Cobblers boss

22 November 2021

Jon Brady says he is looking forward to the visit of Keith Curle’s Oldham Athletic on Tuesday night, and will be pleased to see former manager Curle again.

“Oldham are a side you can’t underestimate and even if they are down they will fight to come back,” he said.

“They have just beaten Port Vale who have been flying up the table, and that was a big scalp.

“I’m sure they will have had a big lift from that result but we are at home, our home form has been strong and we are looking forward to what will be a real tough challenge.

“Keith has played a bit of a different way at Oldham and what he’s brilliant at is his set piece work. He is very strong on that and over 50% of their goals have come from set pieces.

“Keith gave great opportunities to the youngsters in his time here and as an academy we were very grateful for that.

“He gave everyone at the club a lift with the promotion in hugely dark times with the pandemic and he bought some hugely joyous times to the football club.”
