Midfielder Scott Pollock says he can't wait for pre-season to start.
Pollock missed the entire 2020/21 season through injury, but he is now clear of injury and looking to return to match fitness.
“It was obviously a tough season for me last year but I’m fully recovered now and I’m ready and raring to go.
“I got the injury a couple of days before the play-off final and I didn’t really know at the time what it was. It was such an innocuous injury but it just dragged on and on. I thought I might mis pre-season but it ended up being the whole season.
“I’m fully fit now and I will be back stronger.
“It’s nice to be fully fit again, I would have liked to have been back a bit before the end of the season but I’ve got the time off now and I’m looking forward to hitting the ground running in pre-season.
“I worked with Jon in the under 18s and we developed a good relationship.
“He knows my strengths and I know how he wants to play and I’m really looking forward to working with him in the first team.
“We’ve got a good bunch of young players coming through at the club, I think it’s an exciting time and I’m looking forward to training and playing games with the group.
“For me being out such a long time pre-season will be like a fresh start and I can’t wait to get back to doing what I love.
“I’ve had the time off for rehab but I’m really looking forward to the next challenge now. I’m ready to go and I want to play as many games as I can next season.”
