First team coach Marc Richards says he is thrilled to have been given the opportunity at the club, and is really excited about the direction in which the club is heading.
“I never expected this opportunity to come round so quickly but I’m really excited about it," he said.
“For me it’s been a bit of a whirlwind few months, I came into the club last summer as assistant under 18s coach and to go from that role to working with the first team was a big jump but it was maybe what I needed.
“I am a bit of an over thinker so maybe I needed that jump and it’s certainly something I have enjoyed.
“I’ve worked with Jon Brady throughout this season and I’ve taken so much out of it and to be working with the first team at this football club is certainly something that excites me a lot.
“I can see the enthusiasm and the potential the club has and it’s a great place for me to be.
“Knowing what Jon is like as a person and as a coach I see the passion and excitement he brings to the table. He gets so excitable and involved in the games I sometimes maybe have to bring him in a little but that’s just the nature of his character and how passionate he is.”
