The Cobblers boss on his plans

14 May 2021

Northampton Town manager Jon Brady says he is excited about the summer ahead and the 2021/22 season.

“I’m excited about what we want to do and how we want to play," he said.

“I’ve said that we want to be aggressive and we are working hard to bring in the right players and the right staff as well.

“We are talking to a number of candidates and we are working hard to make sure whoever we bring in is the right fit for us.

“We want people who really want to be part of the next journey with this football club.

“We want to be as competitive as we can be in League 2, the challenge ahead is one we want to thrive in and I’m prepared to work all summer to be the best we can be.

“We’ve spoken to all the players under contract and they know exactly what we want from them.

“It’s up to them to go away and have a think and there might be one or two players under contract who may move on.

“We want a balance and a blend in the squad and we want power, pace, athleticism.

“Everybody needs to be together and everybody needs to be all in.”
