MARTIN FOYLE - 'OPPORTUNITY TO HELP THE CLUB BUILD FOR THE FUTURE WAS BIG ATTRACTION'

The new Head of Recruitment on joining Northampton Town

Head of Recruitment Martin Foyle says the opportunity to help the club put strong foundations in place for the future was a big factor in his decision to join Northampton Town.

Foyle, who previously worked for the Cobblers under Chris Wilder, has spent the last few years with Motherwell, but he says the chance to lead the club's new recruitment model was a big factor in his decision to come back south.

“I think it’s an exciting project and I really like the fact that the club is going to be putting real foundations in place," he said.

“There are some familiar faces already at the club for me. I had Marc Richards as a player and I also know Dan Watson from my time at Port Vale so there is a bit of a connection there.

“I like the manager and his values and his outlook and I’m also looking forward to working alongside Graham Carr and Ian Sampson.

“You need experience at every level and there are good, local people here who want the club to do well.

“We all want to take this club forward, the club is going in a bit of a different direction but change can be a good thing especially after the disappointment of a relegation."
