Jon Brady says the Cobblers are talking to a lot of players and agents at the moment and a lot of work is going on behind the scenes.
“We’ve had lots of conversations with players and agents," he said.
“There isn’t too much movement at the moment but we will be speaking to some of our targets in the next week or so.
“We’re going through a methodical process to make sure we get the right fit of player for the way we want to play.
“There are a lot of things to consider when you sign a player and we need to get the best value for money we can. That is what the fans would expect us to do."
