Cobblers caretaker boss Jon Brady was a happy man as he reflected on Tuesday night’s 2-0 home win over Plymouth Argyle, Ryan Watson with a goal in either half to seal the three points.
“It was a strong performance, we scored at the right times and managed the game well,” he said.
“Every single player worked extremely hard and everyone came to the table tonight.
“Plymouth are a good side but with the performances we’ve had we believed things would turn and tonight it came together.
“It’s only a start, their have been individual errors but everyone is pulling in the right direction and tonight was a proper team performance.”
