Northampton Town FC Community Trust are delighted to have received the Planet Super League ‘Club Impact Award’ for the phenomenal effort from the Northamptonshire families that took part.
The Club Impact award has been awarded to Northampton Town FC Community Trust as they have made the most environmental impact out of all the teams involved. The award means that an area of the Amazon rainforest equating to 1,000 football pitches has been protected and will now be protected under the Northampton Town FC Community Trust name thanks to Rainforest UK.
Northampton Town FC Community Trust saved a total of 8.236kg of CO2, the equivalent of planting 471 trees! Almost 3,000 activities were completed, and 4,606 climate action goals were scored! A fantastic effort from everyone involved!
The Community Trust’s Business Development Manager, Damon Fox, said “We are delighted to have received the club impact award, every one of our families were excellent and I hope they are proud of themselves for the impact that they have made.”
Janey Brooke-Taylor of Planet Super League said, “Northampton Town families have contributed so much to this season, and it has been an absolute joy to have them as part of Planet Super League, the amount of energy and passion put in to this project has been excellent to see.”
