Northampton Town first team coach Marc Richards joined forces with local Nationwide employees at their Admin Centre on Thursday to sign the World’s largest George Cross and send Gareth Southgate’s team good luck ahead of the rest of the Euro 2020 tournament.
By fans signing their support for England on the flag online, Nationwide is pledging £1 for each of the first 50,000 signatures collected to help build mutual respect in grassroots football with the launch of its new Nationwide Mutual Respect Grants fund.
Richards said: “We are delighted to show our support for Gareth and the England team and to be able to support grassroots football at the same time."
