Northampton Town have signed winger Mitch Pinnock on a 2 year contract with effect from July 1st after Pinnock turned down the offer of a new contract with Kilmarnock.
The 26 year old, 6ft 1in Gravesend born player started his career with Southend United before a successful spell with Dover Athletic.
He joined AFC Wimbledon for a tribunal fixed fee in the summer of 2018, and made 73 appearances in two League 1 seasons while in south west London, scoring seven times.
In the summer of 2020 he moved to SPL side Kilmarnock and made 37 appearances in 2020/21, finding the net five times.
"We feel Mitch is a good signing for us," said manager Jon Brady.
“He is a player who we have done our homework on, we have watched him very closely and we have been very impressed with what we have seen. He also comes very highly recommended from a number of different sources and that is important to us.
“Mitch has a lot of the attributes we are looking for in our attacking players. He is strong, powerful and mobile and he provides a good delivery from out wide, creating opportunities for others as well as being a goal threat himself.
“He has a decent amount of experience and a good pedigree in both England and Scotland - he has played nearly 200 games in his career and he is an excellent age. We have had some really productive conversations with him about what we are looking for and what Mitch can bring and we believe he will fit in well.
“He is very fit and is full of energy and he will give us natural balance being a left footed attacking player. We are really pleased to welcome Mitch to the club.”
