JORDAN FLORES SIGNS A SEASON LONG LOAN DEAL

Midfielder arrives from Hull City

22 June 2021

Northampton Town have signed midfielder Jordan Flores on a season long loan from Hull City.

The 5ft 11in 25 year old started his career with Wigan Athletic and made eleven first team appearances.

In his time with the Latics, he also enjoyed spells on loan with Blackpool (21 appearances) where he helped the Pool win promotion from League 2, Chesterfield (15 appearances) and Östersunds in Sweden.

He signed for Irish Champions Dundalk in January 2019, playing in the 2020/21 UEFA Europa League, scoring in their group game with Arsenal. His time in Ireland saw him nominated for the 2020 Puskas Award for a left footed volley he scored for Dundalk against Shamrock.

He has a knack of scoring spectacular goals, and he won Wigan Athletic’s Goal of the Season award in 2015/16 with his first career goal.

He joined League 1 Champions elect Hull City in January 2021, signing an 18 month contract.

"Jordan is a very technical player who we believe will fit in well with us," said manager Jon Brady.

"He is left footed and that balance is important for us and he is a different type of player to the other midfielders we have here.

"He is very creative, he can open teams up and his record shows he has a goal in him, and a spectacular one at that.

"He is another one who I think the supporters will enjoy watching. He is a good character and someone we are delighted to bring to the club.

“I am pleased to be able to bring him in on a season long deal, that is important as is the chance to have him with us for pre-season.”
