Defender Sid Nelson can’t wait to get started at Northampton Town.
The centre back signed on at Sixfields on Friday and is looking forward to the challenge ahead.
“I’ve been here for a week and a half now and I’m just glad to get the deal over the line, I’m buzzing to be here and I can’t wait to get started,” he said.
“Because I’ve been around the lads for the past week or so I already feel part of the team
“Training has been tough and the games are going to come thick and fast now but I just can’t wait to get playing.
“I know Paul Lewis from Tranmere, he is a good player and he can bring a lot of success to this football club.
“There is a lot of competition for places throughout the squad but it’s always healthy to have that.
“I know what the other defenders here are about having trained with them already and I know it’s going to be tough to get a starting spot but I’m going to work hard and give it everything.”
